This article walks you through creating a BANA account and setting up your first shop. The whole process takes about 5 minutes and is completely free — no credit card required. You can explore all features during the trial period before choosing a plan.

Before you start

  • A valid mobile phone number (used to receive a verification code)
  • A working email address (used for account recovery)
  • Your business name

Step 1: Go to the signup page

Open a browser on your computer or phone and go to client.bana.com.vn. Click Sign Up to open the account creation page.

You can also get there from the homepage at bana.com.vn — click the Get Started button and you’ll be taken to the signup page.

Step 2: Fill in your account details

Enter the following:

  • First name and Last name — your real name. For example: First name Minh, Last name Nguyễn
  • Username — the name you’ll use to log in. Must be at least 3 characters, letters and numbers only. For example, Minh Nguyễn would enter minhnguyenvn
  • Password — at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number. For example: CaPhe2026!
  • Check the box for I agree to the Terms of Service

Click Sign Up to continue.

Step 3: Sign in with your new account

After signing up, you’ll be redirected to the sign-in page. Enter the username and password you just created and click Sign In.

Verify your identity

When you sign in for the first time, BANA asks you to verify your phone number and email address. This keeps your account secure and ensures you can recover it if needed.

Step 4: Verify your phone number

Enter your mobile phone number. The country code is pre-selected (Vietnam +84 by default). Type your phone number and click Send OTP.

Step 5: Enter the phone verification code

A popup appears asking for the 6-digit code sent to your phone via SMS. Enter the code and click Verify.

Tip: If you don’t receive the code within a minute, click Resend code to get a new one.

Step 6: Verify your email address

Next, enter your email address and click Send OTP. BANA sends a 6-digit verification code to your inbox.

Step 7: Enter the email verification code

Open your inbox, find the email from BANA and enter the 6-digit code in the popup. Click Verify to complete email verification.

Tip: If you don’t see the email, check your Spam folder. The code expires after 5 minutes — click Resend code to get a new one.

Set up your business

After verification, BANA takes you through a 3-step setup wizard. You’ll create your organization (your company), your first shop (where you sell), and your sale channels (how orders come in). If you only have one shop, don’t worry — the organization is just your company name.

Step 8: Create your organization

Your organization represents your company. One organization can own multiple shops — but if you only have one shop, this is simply your company name.

Enter the following:

  • Organization name — for example, Minh enters “Công ty Cà Phê Sài Gòn”
  • URL name — auto-generated from your organization name (e.g., cong-ty-ca-phe-sai-gon). This becomes part of your BANA web address. You can edit it, but the default is usually fine
  • Logo — upload your business logo (optional, you can add it later)
  • Address, Website, Tax ID — fill in if available. These are optional during setup — you can add them later under Settings. The Tax ID is needed later if you want to issue e-invoices

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 9: Create your first shop

A shop is where you manage products, staff, and sales. Each shop operates independently with its own catalog and reports.

Enter the following:

  • Shop name — the name your customers know. For example, Minh enters “Cà Phê Sài Gòn”
  • URL name — auto-generated, same as above
  • Business type — choose how your business operates:
    • Retail — fashion stores, grocery shops, mini-marts (default)
    • F&B — restaurants, cafés, food stalls (enables kitchen management and table layouts)
    • Ticketing — cinemas, events, sports courts like pickleball Minh selects F&B since he runs a café.
  • Currency — defaults to VND
  • Operating dates — the date range your shop is active. Most shops leave the start date as today and the end date empty (ongoing). Use an end date only for temporary pop-up shops or seasonal businesses

Click Continue.

Step 10: Add sale channels

Sale channels define where your orders come from. You can add multiple channels or skip this step and set them up later under Settings > Sale Channels.

Common channels:

  • Point of Sale — direct sales at the counter. If you only sell in-store, this is the only channel you need
  • GrabFood / ShopeeFood — orders from delivery apps. These require a separate merchant account with the delivery platform
  • Online Ordering — orders from your own website or app

Minh adds two channels: “Tại quầy” (Point of Sale) for counter sales and “GrabFood” for delivery orders.

Enter a channel name and click Add. When you’re done, click Finish to complete setup.

Your dashboard

After setup, BANA takes you to the dashboard — your shop’s overview page. Here’s what to do next, in order:

  1. Add products to your catalog — this is the most important first step. You can’t sell without products
  2. Invite staff and assign roles under Settings > Users
  3. Configure payment methods under Settings > Payments
  4. Start selling at the POS

Next step: Create your first product to start selling.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Go to Settings > Business Profile to switch between Retail, F&B, and Ticketing at any time.

No limit. Each shop has its own product catalog, staff, and reports. Add new shops anytime from the organization management page.

Not during the wizard. After completing setup, go to Settings > Users to invite staff and assign roles.
